THE TWO BASIC WIRING SYSTEM INSTALLED IN THE CAR BY THE MANUFACTURERS

 Hello fox!wellcome to fault rectification,its me Chim, the fault rectifier,Today let me start with describing the two main basic wiring systems that are installed in our cars by the manufacturers which are double cable wiring system and the single cable wiring system.

DOUBLE CABLE WIRING SYSTEM OR THE INSURATED RETURN

This system is not commonly used in cars as the single cable wiring system.During the installation the whole body of the car is not used as earthing to complete the circuit but instead it uses cables for both negative and positive wiring circuits hence the body of the whole vehicle is neutral.

This wiring system is specifically used in vehicles for instance, fuel tankers that carry inflammable goods.It is not prone to spark that can cause fire in that of its body naturality if bare wire touch the body.However,the only disadvantage of this wiring system is on fault rectification since there are so many cables to be dealt with.

SINGLE CABLE WIRING SYSTEM OR THE EARTH RETURN

This system is commonly used in both heavy goods carrier vehicles and small vehicles.And it uses a single cable for positive and the whole body of the car as negative or earthing for its circuit completion.

Therefore this system is the simplest when talking of fault finding because it has not many cables to be dealt with in comparison to the double cable wiring system.The only weakness of this system is that it is prone to spark that can cause fire in that any bare wire touching the body is able to initiate spark.
