THE TWO BASIC LAYOUT OF CIRCUITS IN THE CAR
There are two basic layout of circuits in the car.
These are the series circuits and the parallel circuits.
THE SERIES CICUIRT
Bulbs or other consumers connected one after the other in sequence are said to be connected in series and the same current flows through all of them.
Note that anything that is in an electric circuit that uses(consumes) electricity to make it work.for instant, bulbs, electric motors and solenoids is called a consumer.
The disadvantage of this circuit is that if one lamp fails the rest of the circuits fails in that there is an open circuit and current no longer flow.
THE PARALLEL CIRCUIRT
Bulbs or consumers connected independent of each other in the same circuit are said to be connected in parallel.
This is the general method of writing the light on a vehicle.
The advantages for this layout in lighting system is that if one lamp fails the others continue to work.
